Bye Bye Weekend – Journal #1
This is the first post in a new category I’ve created titled “Journal”, and yes it’s a journal or diary of sorts of my very ordinary (and probably very boring for you the reader) life, not much of interest happens to me but still I feel the need to share this kind of post with you poor devils 😁
OK so here we go…
It’s time to say “bye bye” to the weekend, it’s Sunday night around 9:30’ish, my lads have gone home (more on that shortly) and I am once again alone. Oh and don’t fret, I don’t mind being alone, I’m kinda used to it, I have lived in my own little bubble for a good few years now, but I’m okay with that, I actually like it, it’s become my norm…
My weekends usually start around 6:00 o’clock Friday evening when my sons arrive for the weekend, I have two grown up sons, Jonathan and Gareth, and they always (pandemics allowing) come to visit and stay with me for the whole weekend, they go home around 8:00’ish on Sunday evening (Jonathan, my eldest, usually visits me most evenings during the week as well).
During Saturday Jonathan and I went for a nice walk, it was lovely, a very sunny and crisp kind of a day. We never went anywhere special for this walk, we just wandered the streets, there was blue sky, fluffy white clouds and blossom on the trees 🌞🌞🌼🌸🌳🌳
Nothing much to tell for today (Sunday), it’s been a quiet stay at home day, weather was a little greyer but still not bad, we watched a lot of TV and Netflix. The lads went home just before 8:00 o’clock and now I’m sat on my sofa, drinking coffee and penning this post. When I’m done here I fully intend to watch more TV up until the time I feel the need for bed 😴😴😴
A bit of news from the weekend, I received a letter from Furness General Hospitals Intensive Care Unit where I spent some time during my hospital stay before Christmas. Nothing to worry about, they have simply made an appointment for me to go and see the Intensive Care team for a follow up appointment. My appointment date and time is Friday the 29th of April at 9:15am.
Lastly, we are now of course into April 2022, it was April the 1st on Friday, and no, I didn’t get caught, or even see any April Fool pranks, or if I did I was too damn dumb to notice 😁
